Panasonic’s new WV-NS324 IP Dome Camera features on-board software that can be accessed using standard web browsers. In addition, the IP based system allows for up to seven WV-NS324 IP Dome Cameras or other IP sites to be viewed and controlled for small systems applications. The browser interface is comprehensive, yet easy to use with on-screen viewing and control features.

The WV-NS324 IP Dome Camera incorporates a new CCD technology from Panasonic that offers superior low light and low noise performance. Minimum illumination is only 2.0 lux with a S/N ratio of only 50dB. For operation with conventional analog based systems, the WV-NS324 offers an analog output along with +24V operation for use in stand-alone analog security systems. Additional features include: high sensitivity up to 2.0 lux; 10X optical zoom lens and a 5X digital zoom for a total zoom range of 50X; 16 presets; built-in memory for alarm image capture; 360MAP features combined with 360° rotation providing a digital 360° view; and simultaneous display of up to eight images with alarm and presets.

WV-NS324 can be connected to both analog and digital IP networks. This is a color camera with zoom lens and pan/tilt mechanisms all combined in one single compact unit. When this camera is connected to an Ethernet network, you can operate it and monitor its images from a personal computer. With input from a motion detector or external sensor, it can automatically store images and attach them to e-mail or can control external devices to turn on lights or start surveillance recording. Combining a 10x zoom lens with 5x digital zoom, it can zoom in for up to 50x close-ups. It operates in lighting as low as 2.0 lx (0.2 fc) and can pan a full 360°. The digital flip feature makes it easy to capture subjects passing directly below the camera, the image-hold feature prevents blurring when the camera moves.
